This beautiful gray fox just appeared one day. There may be pups
in the gully off-camera to the right, but I won't attempt to find out.
As I understand it, the male helps raise the pups.
Life is good.

Except for these damn fleas! George the cat, belonging to
my next-door neighbor, is a skilled hunter, and would be a lethal adversary for the fox. But, as if
purposefully, George paid no attention to the fox at all. |
